Helen L. Proudfoot, 90 of Temperance, MI, died Saturday, January 3, 2015, in Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, OH. Born April 5, 1924 in Fostoria, OH, she was the daughter of Harrison and Alsina (Doe) Fling. She married Clare B. Proudfoot on October 14, 1950 in St. Clement Catholic Church in Toledo, he died October 19, 2006. She received her Bachelor degree in Marketing and Statistics from Bowling Green University. She enjoyed gardening and nature.
Helen is survived by her loving children, Jeffery (Cheryl) Proudfoot, Gregory (April) Proudfoot, Daniel (Jan) Proudfoot, Sarah Halsey and Matthew (Andrea) Proudfoot. 14 grandchildren, Jake Halsey, Alison (Stephen) Ross and Jordan (Jessica) Halsey, Katie Monday, Thea (Jay) Anderson, Odin, Nicole, Tyler, Evan, Rachel, Ben, Anja, Andrew and Alexander Proudfoot. 2 Great grandchildren, Weston Ross and Lincoln Anderson and Niece, Susie Crawford. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Proudfoot.
Visitation will be from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will be private. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
